At Findlay, Brooks excelled enough to earn a basketball scholarship to the University of Oregon.

As a freshman at Oregon, Brooke averaged 11.5 points per game and was named to the Pac-12 Conference all-freshman team. By the end of his sophomore season, Brooks was named first-team All-Pac-12 and a third-team All-American. After a foot injury before his junior year, Brooks went on to have another successful junior season as an Oregon Duck — and he decided to declare for the 2017 NBA Draft once his junior season concluded.
